Brett Johnson founded The Institute for Innovation, Integration & Impact, Inc. in 1996. He is passionate about the elimination of dichotomy. His work as an author is complemented by consulting to business and social sector leaders on breakthrough strategies. He has over thirty years experience with leading public accounting and management consulting firms (Price Waterhouse, KPMG Peat Marwick, CSC) helping corporations from global multi-nationals through to business start-ups and social sector organizations.

He has developed intellectual property and tools to rapidly analyze corporations and discover innovative ways in which to radically increase their impact. Brett holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Lyn Johnson began her career in education. Lyn is passionate about developing leaders, directing resources to worthwhile initiatives, and seeing people fulfill their potential. She then transitioned to direct sales and was a Creative Memories consultant for 21 years, leading a team of about 2,000 independent consultants situated in North America. Her passion for developing people, her gift of equipping and encouraging, and her entrepreneurial skills are key elements in her success.

Lyn co-founded The Institute for Innovation, Integration & Impact with Brett. She teaches many of the Institute’s courses and has consulted to organizations from start-ups to established corporations on issues of purpose and alignment. She travels regularly to consult with business leaders internationally. Hospitality is one of Lyn’s other passions and their home is always full of guests.

Born and raised: Cape Town, South Africa

Jessica Hastings Munro has deep experience in global innovation with Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurship development on the African continent. Her passions extend to dance, theatre, building things, travel, and living an integrated life. As a Project Lead and Systems Thinker at IDEO, she initiated the Design for Social Impact domain to tackle systems challenges such as crop irrigation and market connection in East Africa. She developed open-source Human-Centered Design Toolkit for Gates Foundation and its grantees to better understand complex interconnected community needs and enact systemic solutions (downloaded over 42,000 times by NGOs and social entrepreneurs globally).

As Associate Dean of Students and Chair of Entrepreneurship for African Leadership Academy (ALA), a pan-African high school for top students from across the continent, she researched and created ALA’s flagship Entrepreneurship curriculum. To support student projects such as a biofuel setup that turns manure into methane for a primary school, she launched and raised funds for a dedicated ALA Social Innovation Board.

Jessica leads our work on engaging entrepreneurs and academic institutions in deploying The I4 Methodology and other Institute frameworks in their contexts. She also heads alumni relations, interacting with the 500 professionals who have experienced our core training.

Jessica holds a degree in design from Stanford University.

Gareth Seeto has widespread experience in Software Engineering, specializing in installer and usability design across a broad range of platforms. Gareth is passionate about inspiring and enabling people to impact their community in positive and innovative ways. The companies he has worked for include Digital Equipment corporation, Compaq, Verity and Oracle.

Since joining the Institute for Innovation, Integration & Impact Inc., he manages the IT administration. The i-learning platform Gareth helped set up has led The Institute's training; He has also helped develop The Institute website, as well as many of the online assessments available to establish more of a web presence. Gareth teaches many of The Institute’s courses and travels extensively to consult with business leaders internationally.

Born and raised: Papua New Guinea, then Australia.

Linda Widjaja is passionate about developing and supporting leaders within global and culturally diverse settings to achieve personal, professional and organizational change. She has been involved in international consulting projects that call for cross-cultural communication specialists, leadership coaches, and organizational development consultants.

Linda has comprehensive experience as project manager and facilitator in academia, healthcare, and pharmaceutical organizations, including Merck, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and University of Phoenix. Linda is certified in International System and Organizational Development from Gestalt Institute, holds an MBA degree in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and PhD degree in Biomedical Science.

In her role as a Training Coordinator at The Institute, Linda is responsible for developing curriculum and coordinating The Institute’s Repurposing Business Training that is held locally both in the US and India as well as remotely online. In addition, she also serves as a liaison to The Institute’s partner in Indonesia.

Kim Wilson has a passion for seeing businesses and leaders walking in the fullness of their unique purpose. To this end, she has a track-record of transforming high-level strategy into focused and effective execution.

Prior to joining The Institute, Kim held a variety of posts at E. & J. Gallo Winery which included growing some of the world’s largest wine brands and leading its new product development function. Kim holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Kim leads our product development efforts and is actively involved in supporting our Indian operations. She is based in Huntington Beach, California.

Born and raised: Tempe, Arizona and Laguna Hills, California, USA

Dena Andrews spent many years working in the healthcare field as a Physical Therapist managing, not only patient care, but several clinics as well. She volunteered her time with many social sector organizations, including Generation Next – influencing young adults today to shape the world tomorrow.

In her role as an Associate at The Institute for Innovation, Integration & Impact she is responsible for back office administration, aspects of publication, training, LEMON Leadership, Convergence and coordination of selected international transformational networks. In addition she travels frequently with Brett and Lyn in trailblazing new locations and products.

Born and raised: in the outlying areas of Seattle, Washington, USA

Thomas Stevenson is an Associate with The Institute in Chennai, India. Thomas has a passion to see leaders and businesses transformed by living their unique purpose. In addition to leading The Institute’s operations in India, Thomas teaches our courses and provides consultation to leaders and businesses using The Institute’s products and frameworks. Prior to joining The Institute Thomas had extensive experience in the area of Human Resources and has worked in both Indian and multinational companies. His industry experience includes Engineering, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking, Investment, and Information Technology. He held various specialist and generalist roles and assignments and has been involved in extensive work in various stages of the organizational lifecycle from start-up, consolidation to turnaround of companies working alongside the leadership of the organizations.

Thomas holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature from University of Madras and Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources from Madras School of Social Work.

Jackson Nordling is an intern at The Institute focusing on client acquisition, alumni relations, and training. He has a passion for quickly developing friendships, and expanding his network.

Jackson has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Calvin College, with a specific focus in Marketing. He has worked on product development for Bissell, a home appliance company. He managed a retail environment for two years, and had an additional year of sales and customer service experience. He interned in the U.K. with The Wilsher Group, a consulting and coaching company: he did coaching, web design and helped deliver a public presentations course.

Born: San Mateo, California. He has lived in The Pacific Northwest, the United Kingdom, and Michigan… and is glad to be back in California, USA.

Linh Ly is passionate about people living out their destinies in wholeness and victory. She has a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences, with expertise ranging across several industries: pharmaceutical drug discovery (BMS, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer) real estate (Coldwell Banker), non-profits and organizations. She desires to use her professional expertise in partnering with businesses to bring lasting impact to developing countries.

Her role as an Associate at The Institute involves coordinating hospitality for the Repurposing Business training, as a liaison with other local organizations for building partnerships, and connecting and mobilizing those in the marketplace. Linh is passionate about traveling and experiencing different cultures.
